The buddhist order Arya Maitreya Mandala

Anyone interested in our work is welcome and can participate in the public events. At this stage, one belongs to the circle of friends of the Maitreya Mandala without a binding commitment.

Spiritual practice over time leads to the decision to resolutely walk the Dharma path and take refuge. By doing so, you understand yourself as a disciple of the Buddha and enter an inner commitment to continuous study and meditation practice. Participation in the community becomes an inner need and the motivation grows to give the support that one receives to others.

As a member of our community, you can engage in many ways: through social, domestic, cultural and artistic activities, in administration and public relations, and in assisting publications. Anyone who feels a special responsibility to continue this tradition founded by Lama Anagarika Govinda can, after a period of candidacy, become a member of the Arya Maitreya Mandala Congregation.

The ordination requires many years of meditation, the "Systematic Study and Practice of Buddhism" and the „Preparatory Exercises for the Vajrayāna“. The Arya Maitreya Mandala is a teaching order. Its members commit themselves to lifelong learning and practice, true to the example of its founder, who has always identified himself as a student, even though he was a recognized teacher.
